Thursday was one of those days that makes you realise just how brilliant Dublin is. There’s nowhere better on a sunny day, and Thursday was the first day that you could really feel a change in the weather- note how I even managed to take my coat off for the shots, sans shivering. Walking around town people definitely had a notable spring in their step, myself and Liadh included! We took these photos in Trinity College at around 5pm and it was still so bright out. It’s my favourite time of year when the days begin to get longer again. There’s nothing worse than it being pitch black when you’re going to/and from work.
You might remember these House of Sunny trousers from my first ever blog post, almost two years ago. I can’t believe Talknthreads is nearly two years old! As I predicted, they are still high on my list of wardrobe staples. The soft fabric, the high waisted fit, and the cropped length make them the perfect trousers for me. I’m still really into tonal outfits so I paired them with my worn-to-death COS sweater that I got for Christmas. This outfit was for a casual day in the office at Maven46. If you haven’t seen my Facebook or Instagram posts, I now write weekly articles for Maven46 which are published online. Have a look through the archives if you’re interested in catching up on some of my work.
Ps. If you’ve spotted the necklaces I’m wearing in these photographs and want to know where they’re from, keep an eye out for a post next week where I’ll give all the details of a special collaboration I was lucky enough to get involved in.
As always, photography by Liadh Connolly.
