Independent Style

Last week myself and Liadh shot a feature for It’s my first full published style feature and I am so happy with how it turned out! We shot a style diary of four different outfits, some casual and some more dressy, as I wanted to get a range of different styles across in the selection of looks. This is the first outfit and I think it’s my favourite of the bunch, I suppose it’s my take on the classic ‘white shirt, blue jeans’ look (á la Homer Simpson amongst others…) but it is far from basic. The shape of both the shirt and the jeans add an extra element to the uniform of many. I finished the outfit up with my New Look heels that were bought on sale before Christmas, my Céline Trio bag, and some simple rose gold accents. I saw a pair of similar jeans on Man Repeller last season and they have pleasantly haunted my dreams ever since… unfortunately those ones were by Rachel Comey and, thus, way out of budget! So, you can imagine my delight when I saw these beauties hanging on the rail in H&M College Green last month- I’ve a feeling we will be having a slight love affair this Spring…once the weather warms up a bit and cropped trousers can be an everyday reality again that is. Check back next week for the second outfit from my Independent Style Diary, or, if you are feeling impatient (!) see the full feature up online here:
