Nothing takes the fun out of nights out more than trying to find something to wear, finding the perfect outfit can be something of a sartorial quest. It’s often the hardest part of the whole occasion and at times makes you feel like you don’t even want to go out anymore (I hear ya Mr Grinch). So to try and help you out over the upcoming party season I’ve put together some looks that will suit a number of occasions from family dinners to nights out. If you’re looking for traditional festive attire featuring glitter and sequins though, you’ve come to the wrong place; this is the definitive guide to party dressing for those adverse to all things glitter, sequins, tassels and sparkles. Favouring silk and velvet instead, I’ve selected a range of outfits for glam evenings out over Christmas and New Years.
